Have you ever wondered, which dog breed best suits your personality? I bet you sure did. Do you think, even dogs would like to have their way of choosing a human based on its personality? Dogs have an inbuilt ability of reading human’s facial expressions. They have a great gift to interpret human’s emotions, moods, feelings and they act accordingly. BBC research says that since most of the domestic dogs are accustomed to spending time amongst people, they tend to develop an instinct of recognizing human’s feelings. When these intelligent creatures don’t get to choose their master’s, do we really need a choice on deciding the pure bred or cross bred?

Four years ago, when I was planning to give away two stray puppies, that I have rescued, I could not find a single Vet or breeder who was willing to take them. I was horrified to learn that there are hardly any organizations for mutts, mongrels while there are so many breeders for A-Class pure breeds in the same society. People have been showing keen interest only in the pure bred. If only everyone knew, how this process would lead to fatal health conditions of animals. As long as it is in the reach of human, one should consider the health conditions of the dog, regardless, of the fact that, pure breeding/inbreeding can occur naturally too. The main tool that I have used is the Intellectual comparative opinion of the dog rescuers. I have gathered my primary data by conducting an Interview with experts and dog care takers. For my quantitative analysis, I have executed a survey and analysed the Pros and Cons.
Above all, I have gathered my secondary data through Wikipedia, Encyclopaedia Britannica, Encyclopaedia of the Dog, K9 Magazine, Dog Breed Facts for Fun by Wyatt Michaels, About Dogs by Bruce Johnson, The New Complete Dog Book by American Kennel Club, The Mixed-Breed Dog by Phyllis DeGioia, Dogs by Design: How to Find the Right Mixed For You by Illene Hochberg. Most importantly the online sources, editorial articles, research papers by experts have helped me in carrying out my study.
After choosing the topic, I have requested my family and friends (7 Adults, 8 Children) who are looking forward to bring a pet home, to take part in my interview to help me with my research. I have designed a spread sheet survey of 4 simple reasoning questions. The questionnaire was such that, an answer with yes to the first question would direct them to second question and an answer with a no to the first question would direct them to fourth question.
