Highschool sports are causing the scores nationwide to go down, and we should definitely not let them. We are the 31 in math and 17 in reading, on a test that more than 74 countries took, as said on "Have sports teams brought down America's schools?" written by Elizabeth Kolbert. Some sports are damaging our grades and we should definitely take them off. Even though we all love highschool sports and cheerish them, I stronly believe that they are no benefit for us and we should totally consider cutting them off like some parents we saying.
On highschool sports everyone likes winning, and sometimes the coaches pressure the athletes so much that they put winning before personal and educational development, as said in "Are Highschool Sports Good for Kids?". A boy named Tom, a highschool student from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, spended his senior years in Wroclaw, Poland. In Poland the kids don't have any sports on schools, which later leads them to not pay more attention to sports and to focus on school. Polish students out scored American students by quite a bit, a they spend half on their students as Americans do as mentioned in "Have sports teams brought down America's schools?".
Some students love sports and they think they are good for them. On sports, students get treated as if they were royalty. Sports shows us that if they want to do something they'll achieve it, but in reality school sports are really not beneficial for students, it gives them injuries and makes them unfocused.
Highschool sports have their good and bad, but their certainly have more bad than good. I stronly agree that sports are not beneficial for students. They cause physical and educational pain, on sports students get many injuries and their grades goes
