Are Gm Animals Good Or Bad

In biotechnology there is this experiment called GM animals (genetically modified animals). These are animals that contains additional or altered genetic material. This gives the animal traits they didn't have before. Some people do not agree that this is ok and it should not happen. Now let's look at the question “ are GM animals good or bad?”. We must first look at the process to fully understand how gm animals are made. The process is when genes from one organism is extracted and artificially forced into an unrelated animal. In other words they start by taking out a certain gene from one organism then they would insert that gene into another animal. The reason why they are exploring this is because it can help benefit animals that doesn't …show more content…
They think that it is unethical because they are basically changing life of an organism. The animals that are produced some times are deformed or die. The process can be harmfull and really dangerous. Some say that the animal drug rules do not regulate gm animals properly. By looking at the information my standpoint on this is negative or it being bad. In the article (genetically engineered animals:pros and cons) It says that most the animals are deformed or die during the process which seems cruel to these animals. The animal drug rules do not regulate it so it seems to me that it should not be allowed. The process can be dangerous by changing the genetic makeup of an orgaism. It also seems to be unethical because it basically changes the life of an organism. In conclusion GM animals are genetically modified animals that is changed to meet human need. It changes the life of an animal by inserting genes from one organism to another so that the other organism produces or does something that normally it could never do. We ask if it positive or negative and how people think about the subject. In my opinion we should not do this because we could mess up an ecosystem if we do this and release them and most of the time the results of the animals turn out bad. In the future when we fully understand this we could possibly go back and make it actually make it so where we can do it with a few
