Emergency planning is one major thing that should be discussed in college campuses. Making sure that every single students know what do in a scene of an armed person on campus can make a difference in students escaping the risk of being attacked.Knowing what to do and to help others what to do in dangerous situations could help in savings one's’ life and be less in risk. Being more strict in security and on the look should be enforced so the numbers of these accidents should drop. “This kind of "culture of silence" on the part of school administrations, says Kiss, ends up skewing a college's crime statistics. Surveys by the American College Health Association confirm that many students fear their crime isn't serious enough to go to file police.” (Booth) , a good point that Booth states it the “culture of silence”, when students fear of confessing a crime that has happened. The issue for some cases of crimes is that sometimes there are not many reports and that is why it is not so noticed for many others because of the silence of the victims. Encouragement should establish so something should be done so the students should report the crime and something should be done so it won’t occur to other students. Professors and staff should encourage students to speak up so something could be done. I know some of my friends have been in these situations and afraid of telling a trustworthy adult to take care of the situation. But some of my friends were brave enough to speak up and I saw that people around the school were actually doing something about it, breaking the silence will make people be aware on what's going on around the students. I am certain that there are many more different of crimes have not been reported to be aware of because of the
