Are Athletes Paid Too Much

People are asking, are professional athletes paid too asking? I think professional athletes are getting paid way too much for just playin a game with a ball. They are getting paid millions of dollars for just playing a sport.
Professional athletes are getting paid a lot of money. They play sports for fun and all of a sudden get paid a lot. There are a lot of good athletes that don’t want to play in the big leagues and have to pay the league. I do not think it is fair at all.
On the other hand,I think professional athletes should be paid less. Other people have more important jobs. A lot of important workers like policeman, teachers, doctors, and firefighters risk their life and time to help us be safe and be smarter

That is one reason college athletes should get paid. Another reason college athletes should get paid is if they are getting paid that gives them more effort to try harder. When you try harder you play better and stronger. Also if they get paid for being athletes they will have money to pay for some of their student loans, book fees and also everything else they must pay for during college. I don’t think college athletes should get paid very much…

I am personally a collegiate athlete and knows what an athlete goes through. Players shouldn’t get paid millions of dollars like professional athletes, because why would players go on to try and play professionally. On the contrary they should deserve some type of revenue whether it's for clothes shopping, take someone out on a date, gas money, etc. For example that’s the same thing as me asking my friend to do something for me and he does all the work while I sit back and relax.…

College athletes deserve a paycheck because the required time commitment prohibits an outside job, athletes start off poor and in college, and schools benefit from how much money these athletes bring in each year. There are some people out there with the athletic ability to go to school and play sports. Some are good enough to earn numerous amounts of free scholarships to go to college and are able to choose what school they will attend for the next four year. But during that time people do not know the struggles the athlete goes through while trying to balance playing sports and keeping up in school. Paying them compensation for their athletic ability makes sense.…

I think that college athletes should get paid because they are working hard by going to practice and learning new things to make them better and other people besides the college athletes are getting paid. The first reason why I think college athletes should get paid is because when they show up for practice they play hard to get better and win games and I think that If they get paid it will help them pay for the college there going to and make them want to keep playing the sport.…

Should College Athletes Get Paid “As a professional athlete a lot is going to be said about you, but I just try to move forward and try to achieve my goals”-(LeBron James). “In college I never realized the opportunities available to a pro athlete. I’ve been given the chance to meet all kinds of people, to travel and expand my financial capabilities, to get ideas and learn about life, to create a world apart from basketball”-(Michael Jordan). The issue about college athletes playing sports is that they don’t get paid for the hard work that they do playing. Like LeBron said once you get into the professional sports like basketball, football, soccer, and baseball you’re gonna get people talking trash about you.…

The topic has been discussed on numerous occasions on whether or not college athletes should be paid for playing sports for major universities. A lot of people feel that they should get paid for the hard work they do, while others such as myself say that they should not be paid. College students should not get paid due to the fact that they are already getting paid on scholarships, it hurts the school, and it doesn’t further their education. The first reason I feel that college athletes shouldn’t be paid is due to the fact that a lot of them are already having their education paid for due to scholarships. Now not every single college athlete gets a full scholarship but a lot of them do.…

College athletes might work their tail off, they might put a lot of time into their sport but that does not mean they should get paid. I do not think college athletes should get paid for three reasons one they are already getting paid, two if they were getting paid they would not focus so much on their education, and three if college organizations were paying their athletes they would not be able to pay for the athletes education and other stuff they provide.…

In my own opinion, I believe that college athletes should be paid. I can imagine myself as a college athlete; with daily routines that consists of getting up early for practice. After the morning practice, I have to go to school far away from where I live. What if I have been failing some of my classes? I have extra classes to attend, and after my tight schedule, juggling school work and my social life, I still have more practice which might likely end late.…

Although people say that college athletes should not get paid many people think they should because the bring money in for the college, some athletes poor, and If they don’t make it how to the pros and don’t finish college they need money to support themselves. To begin with college athletes should be paid because they bring in money for colleges when they play on the field, court, and ect. When the athletes play for colleges they bring in revenue for the college. According to “Should college athletes be paid?” (2013), all colleges combined together made over 5 billion dollars in the 2013 NCAA football season and colleges even if they lost still made 500 million dollars or under and if they won the championship game you made over that amount, and if you won the…

College sports players should NOT be paid. They are working toward a career, not magically receiving one. The reality of sports being treated better than the other students should not have been, but it was and carried on from elementary throughout high school. They should not be privileged anymore, but should get a job and work more for pay like everybody else. This concept even being considered is disgusting to me.…

Also I believe colleges and universities should not have to pay athletes because they are already providing them athletic scholarships and other benefits. An athlete’s scholarship is a form of salary. According to the NCAA, the average value of a full scholarship at an in-state, public school, is $18,000 a year. For an out-of-state public school the value is $25,000. This money goes towards tuition fees, room and board, required textbooks and much more.…
