The movie Black Swan is another movie that includes archetypal characters. The main character in the movie, Nina Sayers, is a professional dancer in a New York ballet company, who lives with her overprotective mother. The company is planning to perform Swan Lake, and Nina hopes to star as both the White Swan and the Black Swan. When she auditions, Nina excels at her portrayal of the White Swan, but has difficulty performing as the Black Swan. When another dancer appears, able to perform the Black Swan part, but not the White Swan, Nina grows tense. Throughout the rest of the movie Nina begins to change, and experiences immense stress and violent hallucinations. The audience can see that she begins to transform herself from a very innocent
