Arches National Park Narrative

Are we there yet? I had asked my mom for the thousandth time on our way to Arches National Park Utah. My family and I have been waiting for this trip what seems like forever. My brother and father planned our trip to Arches National Park and we are planning on staying there for five days. We are all psyched for this trip and I think I am the most excited.

Finally, it was kids choice day and my brother and I agreed on horseback riding. On the trail ride, I saw many kinds of wildlife including mule deer, kangaroo rats, and a herd of desert bighorn sheep. The most exciting thing on our ride was when we saw a black bear in the distant mountains. The trail guide described how important it is to “watch for tracks, droppings, diggings, and other bear signs and If you see a cub, retreat immediately - you can be certain the mother is nearby.” The bear was amazing to see but I’m glad it was from a distance.

What a great adventure we had at Arches National Park! I’m happy that president Woodrow Wilson saw the importance of creating the National Parks service on August 25,1916. I think everybody should vacation at a National Park to find thrilling adventures and lots of family and friend
