Archaic Language In Shakespearean Times

Think about using the archaic language that Shakespeare used back in the sixteenth century, known as Old English. During that time period, the people where Shakespeare lived used this type of language. Today most of the people use slang terms like when the person is texting somebody else they use shorter terms and acronyms, also known as texting lingo. Most of those words have changed since the Shakespearean period because of the standardization process. The English language has changed drastically since Shakespeare’s era because the people are now using slang, the words from then are no longer used or their meaning has changed, and it has been undergoing a standardization process.
When the people then used their language it sounds a lot different compared to the language used in the world currently. It is different in many ways to our slang communication. Slang is a separation of the normal or correct language that is used and is very informal. It was different because some words had extra letters in them when it wasn’t really necessary and today we have text lingo for some words and phrases. An example of text lingo is L.O.L. which stands for laugh out loud or nvm which is short for never mind. Also, D.I.Y. is short for do it yourself as a lingo phrase used currently. Noah Webster was a New England lawyer and scholar. Also, Noah gave lectures about standardizing the English language all around the United States.
