It would have been a true loss if I had neglected to ponder on this spiritually-minded pair who walked in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, blameless.
I would love to share with you what I learned about this incredible pair…
They were a happily married couple, litrerally ‘two hearts that beat as one’. In the truest sense, Aquila and Priscilla were ‘no more twain but one flesh’.

Some of us may never be powerful preachers, but we can be faithful students of the Word; and we can open our homes to people whose hearts are hungry to hear the Word. Wouldn’t it be a joyous privilege to nurture a young Apollos who will someday have a wide and powerful ministry for Jesus Christ.
Another interesting observation is that in four out of the six biblical references to them, Priscilla’s name precedes Aquila’s. And that is unusual! Most references to husbands and wives in the Bible place the man first. Why the switch here? The most reasonable of the suggested explanations seems to be that Priscilla was the more gifted of the two and often took the more prominent role. Yet, that didn’t seem to affect their love for one another, their understanding of each other nor their ability to work together.
God’s order of authority in marriage never changes. Although the wife may be more intelligent and resourceful than her husband, God still wants her to look to him as her leader. That is not always easy for an extremely talented woman to do, but Priscilla did it. She was not competing with Aquila. She was just using her God-given abilities, to support her husband for the glory of God. I am sure Aquila thanked God for her and accepted her wise counsel on many
