In the beginning, the three teens, Alexis, Ruby, and Nick, go out on their very first search and rescue in the woods. While Alexis is trying to find the missing man, she stumbles upon a person, but that person isn't a middle-aged man, it is a teenage girl. The climax of the story is when Ruby finds out who the killer is by noticing that his footprints are the same ones found right next to the dead girls’ bodies. Ruby is started when she knew that the bird watcher, Becker, was the killer all along. Ruby is being chased by the killer and just when she thinks she's dying, Nick comes to her rescue and throws a rock at Becker and he falls and they run away. The end of this book is when Alexis and Bran start dating and have their first kiss. This book’s plot is amazing!
Overall, the book The Body in the Woods was fantastic. I would recommend this book for teenagers who are looking for a thrilling and addicting book that makes your toes curl. I loved this book because of its amazing characters. My favorite character is definitely Ruby. I also love this book because it has amazing descriptions and detail.
