The warm tones enumerated from the book is not as reflected in the book itself. In fact, it contrasts immensely. For instance, there is the Third Expedition from Earth to Mars. Although at first reluctant, in “April 2031: The Third Expedition”, Captain John Black finally accepted this Midwestern setting that is exactly the same as how the crewed remembered it. Thus, they went into their families’ adobe. However, whenever the captain came to a realization that the humans residing in Mars were actually Martians, it was too late.
