From my experience, this role involves working with patients who present with challenging behaviours including aggression hence the need to be highly developed in communication and negotiation skills. The policies and procedures that Alliance Health Care has in place to protect both employees and clients are very intense due to the high risk population we work with. At our agency we take people who are experiencing mental health crisis, and are not a specific controlled population. We take clients from police officers, community members, other agencies, we also take walk-in clients.
