Applying The Scottish Universities : My Interest For The Country

My decision to apply to Scottish universities stems from my interest for the country. I have always been in love with Scotland 's architecture as well as its gorgeous sights. During the summer of 2015, I flew to Edinburgh and fell further in love with the country, and its culture. It is a place that I believe would be perfect to study and live. Scotland has great living conditions and is very open to multiculturalism which I greatly appreciate. My first language being French, studying in English would be a great opportunity to improve my knowledge of the language.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by law and psychology. As my younger self, my goal was to understand others. I have never been much of a speaker; I am the observer. While my peers would sometimes bend the rules, which was terrifying to me, I would stand back and watch, asking myself what would push someone to defy authority. Rules had to be followed, after all, they have been made for a reason. Still, as I grew older I kept this mindset. In CEGEP, I was first introduced to sociology which is one of the best courses I have taken. It allowed me to gain a greater understanding of how societal norms function, as well as why some would ignore them, and how individuals react in group situations. Through my sociology course I had to be socially deviant for an assignment and I chose to wear winter clothing during the summer and go clean Montreal 's metros.
