A chip like the one Applied Digital is making, the VeriChip, could save your life. The chip can be used to diagnose an Alzheimer's patient, or to get the medical records of an unconscious patient. A man named Jeff Jacobs, who suffers from, serious allergies, is heavily in favor of this chip. He says, ¨They would want to know what medications I'm on, and it's quite a few.¨ They would know what I’m Allergic too, what kind of operations I’ve had, and where there might be problems.¨ Also, Applied Digital Says it will only sell the chip to companies that ensure its human use is voluntary.
