Intro to Mathematics and Engineering at an American university class is very significant, for it can help you to improve your mental abilities in mathematics and arithmetic. You studied mathematics in school but in different languages. In English, the symbols and methods are different than others. When I took the last lesson with Mr. Steven, I was surprised because I studied different things in my language. I found it easier in English because mathematics is very complicated in Arabic, and the rest of us know that. Many students like to take this class to know more information about their major before attending the university. When they take this class, they will be ready for the calculus class in the university and everything will be easier.

The old Arabs created this field in mathematics and they called it Algebra. I have studied different kinds of Algebra, such as the simple and the compound. It contains a lot of vocabulary, so it is difficult to remember each word. The most common things that you have to learn are symbols, variable, and constants. Also, you have to learn about the equations, and how do you draw them in standard form. Moreover, the drawing is different from the equation to another one because it depends on the exponents. For each equation, there is a solution, and you cannot say that is an equation if it doesn’t have a solution. We use these equations a lot in our life, for almost everything depends on mathematics and physics. Overall, Algebra is a very interesting field, and it improves your mental abilities and your intuition to be an excellent

Regardless of whether my methods were correct, I was going to apply them consistently and meticulously. In some ways, my first foray into scientific research was not unlike my first few years in Canada. I recalled the innumerable attempts at evading any potential exposure of my English ability: avoiding eye contact with my teachers, eating lunch alone, and refraining from engaging in conversations other than mannerly greetings. Fearing my broken English would result in prejudices against my competence, I viewed corrections on my grammar and pronunciation as patronizing insults and relied on my proficiency in math and science as a compensation for my weakness. By the end of junior high, my peers conferred the title of “math god” on me, and I enjoyed my newfound sense of…

Math is almost always used in chemistry labs: therefore, it is important to be familiar with rearranged different numbers to get what one is looking for in an equations. In Lab 4 of Chem 115, students were told to find density of an unknown substance and two differently shaped solids with what they were given. Students needed to know how to measure the mass and volume of liquids and solids to successfully get these measurements. They also had to know how to get the volume of a solid using the volume of water and the volume of the water with the substance in it. Without knowing to subtract the values, the students would have been unsuccessful in their lab.…
