Differences In the Application of Power In Animal Farm The story of Animal Farm, based on true event that happened in Russia; the Russian Revolution. Rulers in Animal Farm and all of them where based on true people's characteristics and actions.Throughout Animal Farm, varying agendas to abuse power lead to different effects on the animal community Mr. Jones through punishment, Napoleon through the control on food rations and Squealer through his public speeches effects the animals largely by creating an element of fear in there hearts, while the acts of Kindness through the wisdom of Major and love of Snowball. The actions of each leader or head effects and plays the role of different types of important people in the actual Russian civil war

Mr. Jones, a very harsh dictator, who also a bit gruesome, which lead to him being exiled out of Manor Farm, his own farm.The book started with a brief explanation of Mr. Jones, stating “Mr. Jones, of the Manor Farm, had locked the hen-houses for the night, but was too drunk to remember to shut the pop-holes.”(Ch.P1.1) By reading this, automatically understood that Mr.Jones, a leader/dictator of the farm, also starts to unveil his incompetency as he gets to drunk to the point where he cannot shut the pop-holes. While continue reading the realization that the animals, fed up from a human dictator especially one who does not care about them, because of this they take action, “Mrs. Jones looked out of the bedroom window, saw what was happening, hurriedly flung a few possessions into a carpet bag, and slipped out of the farm by another way. Moses sprang off his perch and flapped after her, croaking loudly.”(2.12) This sparked there revolution, also showed that Mr.Jones just abused his “citizens.” Mr.Jones, prevailed in such away that it showed that he applied power by abuse and only thinking about himself and what he wanted not what the animals of farm wanted and
