Application Essay: The Legal Studies Academy

First Colonials Legal Studies Academy spikes my interest and enthralls me because I love debate and public speaking, as well as learning about the constitution and The United states Legal system. The Legal Studies Academy fits with my Future goals and interests because I wish to be a Corporate Law Attorney or a Personal Injury Lawyer. I wish to be one of these types of Lawyers because I will be helping people. I will either help people in the business world or find justice for those who have been injured or are in car accidents. I have been in the International Baccalaureate program in middle school and have been helping people with community and service since sixth grade. I also do a lot of my community and service through NJHS, Boy scouts, and church. I have had large amount of experience with debate and was on the Plaza middle …show more content…
This upcoming debate season I plan on making the Plaza team for the second year in a row. Other than debating and helping people, I also find criminal science and forensics fascinating. It is so cool how specialists in those areas can discover what happened to people, and bring foreclosure to events just by performing a biopsy or an autopsy. As well as the science, I believe that public speaking in general is important no matter what because if you want a voice in this world you have to let it be heard. In The Legal Studies Academy, I will be able to get better at public speaking because I will have more opportunities to speak, and I have fun learning about the sciences used in the fields to bring justice to victims and people wanting answers. I believe that I will be a great fit for this program because it coincides with my Future Goal of being an Attorney, and I will still be able to help people along the way. At the end of this program, I will have learned a lot of important life lessons and skills to help me be successful as an adult, and throughout my college
