One of the more prominent reasons was being raised in a family with a strong military background.
I was lucky enough to see first hand the military way of life due to growing up being the son of an Army Intelligence Analyst.
I remember being so excited on our School shadow days as I would get to attend work with my father and see and do some of what his job entailed him to do.
Values of honesty and integrity were ingrained in me from an early age by my parents and have since become the core values that I try to use to guide me in life.
I'm drawn to the Naval Academy because I find both the challenge and rewards exceptional, the opportunity to serve my country, the daily structure it provides, the strong ethical code, and the diverse challenges it offers, physically and mentally are merely a few that the Naval academy has to offer I believe in my heart it is exactly where I need to be in order to continue on my path to being a leader and scholar. …show more content…
The majority of my classes are A.P and I have continued to maintain straight A's (4.0 - 4.5 GPA) throughout my entire high school attendance whilst additionally being fully dedicated to playing Travel Soccer and Varsity Soccer throughout the year. I have won numerous awards through my hard work and dedication to both my education and sports which I am proud of.
There have also been periods in my life that I have served as a role model to others. My most recent being the Captain of the Boys Varsity Soccer team. Not only does my coach value my opinion, my team mates also look to me for guidance and encouragement, both of which I feel I have been fully competent at providing. To me the culmination of these traits and my achievements emulate some of the values and characteristics needed to successfully become a United States naval
