Throughout my past job and education experience I have been able to learn so much from each position I have held. Being able to take advantage of listening and observing co-workers around me is the best way to learn and grow. Using all that I have absorbed from each job experience and school combined has benefitted me in tremendous ways.
I am Allison Johnson, 24 years of age, born on April 22, 1993. I am originally from Carbon Cliff, Il and have lived majority of my life in Geneseo, Il. I am currently a student at Black Hawk College who will be graduating with an Associates in Applied Science in May 2017. I was also be receiving a Certificate in Administrative Assisting at the end of December 2017. While going to school I have been given an amazing opportunity to work as an intern for The Army Corps of Engineers as an Administrative Assistant in the Construction Branch. I started in December of 2016 and am currently still working there.

I am currently an Administrative Assistant at the Construction Branch for The Army Corps of Engineers. I have been there since December 2016. In my past employment history, I have worked at a Barber Shop, retail store, and credit union. From my experience at my current and past jobs, I have been able to work with a diverse group of people. I have learned about their lives and helped them along the way. I pride myself on being able to work with the public and also my co-workers to be able to always meet an end goal. Working as a receptionist and being able to take phone calls, schedule appointments, and get to know people was very rewarding because of the relationship I got to build with the customers. I also felt this way when working at a retail store and a credit union as a bank teller. Customers and co-workers would depend on me to help them with their problems and come to me for advice. Being able to help and assist people is very
