Slipping on dry grass would be a hindrance to most. However, for me it was an event that piqued my interest in the Health Care profession and has led me to the ambition of a career in Adult Nursing. A complicated break led to surgery required in order to rectify the injury, resulting in my ankle predominantly now being made of metal. It was this that gave me the insight into the nursing profession and the care given by those who tended to me. The professionalism and the skill I encountered inspired me to gain more knowledge and experience within this sector. I went on to become a Care Assistant in supported living.
