They also have different insides an apple’s inside is crunchy and rough while in the other hand inside an orange you have a collection of pockets of juice. Creamy Zucchini Hummus Flavors, Textures, Visual Appeal, and Presentation The Creamy Zucchini Hummus turned out quite smooth, despite my makeshift food processor. The article that I chose this week was You Paid How Much For That Apple? In this article, Elizabeth Dunn discusses the reasoning behind the cost of Honeycrisp Apples compared to that of other apples. 20 years ago, David Bedford cross bred different apples and established what is known today as the Honeycrisp Apple. The Honeycrisp Apples were so good that they are known in today’s society as a “price phenomenon” compared to other apples on the market because of their great taste (Dunn, 2013). The high price of Honeycrisp Apples is contributed to a few different aspects in today’s market.…

The purpose of this experiment was to identify what the effect type of fruit had on the consistency of Jell-O. The Jell-O with apple slices in it had the hardest consistency, and the pennies dropped into the Jell-O/apple mixture dropped an average of .07 inches into the container. The pennies in the mango and Jell-O mixture dropped in an average of 1.1875 inches in, and the pennies dropped an average of 1.4875 inches into the pineapple and Jell-O mixture, meaning the apples and Jell-O solution’s pennies sunk in the least. The penny was not able to break through the surface as much because the solution had a tougher consistency than the pineapple Jell-O solution and the mango Jell-O solution. All of the data shown in table 1 and graph 1 supported…

No one would ever think that an orange, a nutritional commodity, would create such a drastic impact on the colonization and exploitation of a settled group, but it is not uncommon for a food to become a symbol for something else, be it an idea, group, or place. In the film Jaffa, the Orange’s Clockwork the renowned Jaffa Orange throughout the 20th century symbolized the potentiality of a region that represented unity between both groups, but over time was poisoned by the pursuits of settler colonization leading to overall destruction. Although there was evidence of early cooperation between the Jew and Arab populations on Jaffa Oranges, most important were Zionist and European techniques that masked appropriation of what was once the chief agricultural product of Arab peoples, as well as the influence of competition on land and labor between both groups. Even so, primary reports from individuals and historical documents…
