For the purpose of this paper I chose a video news release (VNR) about an Apple product. I chose apple because besides it being a very successful company, I also found it to be very relatable to us, college students. We live in a world were young people do not really seem interested in watching the news or informing themselves about important things happening around world that might potentially affect us in one way or the other. That being said, I feel like apple has the ability to reach us and catch our attention with almost every one of its products and to me that is powerful. First, I will start by providing some background information about the company and its mission, secondly, I will be defining what a VNR is and its purpose and lastly, I will be analyzing the message behind the video.

The vision statement shows the direction of the company’s growth and product development. In relation, Apple’s mission statement indicates the actions needed to ensure that the company continues in its success path. Apple wants the public to relate it to the kind of products the company makes as well as also relate to the company itself. They believe that for apple to be the most innovative company it must also be the most diverse. That is, apple’s main goal is to look beyond the usual measurements by taking a holistic view of diversity. Apple aim to include the different perspectives of their employees, app developers, suppliers, as well as anyone that inspire them to a future in tech.
