In many advertisements of the cereal brand “Cinnamon Toast Crunch” the slogan “Why do kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?” can be seen or heard. This is in reference to the product and their consumer. It is portrayed as a life long question that everyone will always ponder. On more recent television commercial advertisements the slogan “Crave those crazy squares” can be heard along with an animated cinematic of anthropomorphic pieces of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal going crazy over the smell of each other, resulting in them performing silly antics and shenanigans that involve cannibalizing…

A Taste of Great Quality There are thousands of different restaurants across the country where people can either wait five minutes for their lunch in a drive-thru lane but pay for rude service and processed food, and some where formal attire is required and food and beverages are so expensive they break the bank. What if there was a restaurant that offered both? A restaurant where service is top-of- the-line, food is warm and fresh, and the setting is elegant but inexpensive? Once I arrived, I was astonished by the experiences of my fellow DIVOH students and became overwhelmed at how heterogeneous yet close-knit the Amherst community seemed. I felt like I belonged.…

One decision—more like a hilarious joke taken seriously—altered the future of my academic career. While sitting with a group of friends in the student center on the day of the Student Government elections, I thought, “Oh hey, wouldn’t it be funny if I wrote my name in on the ballot”? In retrospect, I realize my true motive and how much I actually toyed with the idea of being on the executive board; I knew I could rise to the occasion, and how ludicrous it would be to throw away my shot at making a lasting impression on the student body at Sandhills Community College.…
