In 1939 the world plunged into World War 2. The Nazi leader Adolph Hitler attacked and conquered many European countries. Germany, Italy and Japan made up the Axis power while Russia, Great Britain, France and the United States made up the Allies. Some of the leaders of the Allies were torn about how to deal with Hitler and the rest of the Nazi clan. Should they try to appease Hitler or fight back. Appeasement is when one leader satisfies/calms the other leader by giving something up. The British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain explains in a speech to parliament why appeasement is the much better choice to deal with Hitler.
