Apology Letter For Apology Essay

Decent Essays
I would like to apologize for any confusion I may have caused yesterday regarding my last day at Cedars-Sinai. I presumed that Friday, July 7, 2017, would be my last day as a full-time employee and once I received my set schedule from my new job then I could decide if I could continue at Cedars-Sinai on a part-time basis. I do apologize for the miscommunication of my intent.

The book Thank You for Arguing, what Aristotle Lincoln and Homer Simpson can teach us about the art of persuasion, written by Jay Heinrichs, is a book that takes a look at the use of rhetoric in everyday life. Heinrichs is an incredibly smart man, and his views on the world are very inspiring. In this book, he gives us an incredible look into how to argue efficiently and effectively. Heinrich divides his book into five sections while using ethos as his main strategy, I connected to chapter 5 the most, and provides great insight to how using rhetoric is helpful in everyday discussions.…

The problem of “testilying” is as serious as the book Mistakes Were Made But Not By Me makes it out to be. “Testilying” leads to perjury, which is lying under oath in a court for example, meaning that if a police officer gives a false testimony the wrong person could be punished for an action not carried out by them. Nothing is done about it because it is hard to detect and the only way you could change the testimonials mind is by getting past their cognitive dissonance, which we know is a daunting if not impossible task. The first reason why testilying is out of hand is cognitive dissonances relationship to perjury.…

“I’m sorry.” Two simple words that can be articulated to mean a number of different things. Two words that, unfortunately, we have been exposed to our entire lives. Two words that are perceived as a good thing, yet in all reality symbolize the acknowledgment of unacceptable acts. When these two words are strung together to create a sentence that will invariably be answered with a quick “It’s okay”, it is easy to assess what has just happened.…

I have always considered my relationship with writing to be very insignificant. Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. Throughout my adolescent years, I would often receive feedback for my writing given by the teacher in the form of a grade. Being unable to effectively organize my thoughts and ideas into words and sentences, I would feel reluctant to continue writing confidently whenever I received an undesirable grade.…

Therefore, many believe no other man could make a more inspiring apology about America’s past sins. Many may argue that an acknowledgment of the wrongs done by the nation have power all alone.…
