Since Apollo is stuck on Earth with no way of protecting himself from harm except for a young teenage girl, his first thought is to find himself a Bow. Normally this would be an easy task considering camp Half-Blood is well equipped with munitions in order to protect the camp from intruders. Apollo is paired with his young protector by the name of Meg. Having no clue that the Labyrinth was an endless maze meant to trap people inside Meg took off bouncing up and down through the hallways. Then Apollo felt the Air get colder and the light started to fade away, “ A whiff of Python Venom floated across my nose, enough to make me diizy” (Riordan 107). Apollo and Meg quickly avoided Pythons hideout because they knew that they were going to need help in order to defeat him. As the two reached the surface they discussed the matter briefly with the headmaster. He explained to them that there was no possible way of knowing where Python was in Labyrinth unless they had the map. Without the map Apollo would not be able to find Python and be able to defeat thus making him powerless. This would be why the map is so crucial to Apollo’s plan for regaining his
