Apollo technology has made numerous innovations for missions, but they also carried over to the everyday world. Many of innovations personally impact individuals globally. For example, I have used many of NASA’s technologies for medical, school, and home scenarios. During multiple school projects we used solar power to complete labs, and also use calculators on a daily bases that use solar panels. I have also used digital image analyzers and software, or an MRI, due to a knee injury received when I was participating in volleyball. I have also helped my family build and remodel the majority of the houses we have lived in, so I am very familiar with cordless tools.

NASA also created fabric called Durette, which protects astronauts from fires, and now used to protect firefighters here on Earth. My parents are both coaches and my siblings and I are all multisport athletes, so I know firsthand how important sock-absorbent foam can be in preventing injuries. I use cosmetics and ingestible toothpaste, and NASA has made both products safer.
I think temper foam was probably diffused into homes by stimulus expansion diffusion, it started in a certain area but once people saw all of its uses many different products with temper foam began to emerge and spread.
