• Jim: he is throwing up a party at the beginning of the video, and all of his friends/team are there (I consider this team building). He also mentions that Apollo 13 will be his last mission because he as the best ship and the best crew, and will not be able to top that. I think he is building team work because he is letting his team know that they all work better together, for they are all hard workers.

• At first Fred was upset with Jack and was blaming Jack for all the things that went wrong after Jack shook the oxygen tanks, but when Jack starts the computer back up along with the power and everything works fine, Fred tells Jack “way to go Jack”. By using this words, I think Fred is building team work and accepts Jack as a member of the team.
• After the power of the space craft was off for a while, Fred is freezing and Jim tries to keep him warm, I think Jim is building team work by doing this. Jim also builds team work by always checking on this team and asking them if everything is fine with them.
• Henry Hurt: NASA’s public affairs officer was kind of inhibiting team work, I think, because he did not do anything when Jim and his crew were doing the broadcast. He did not try to get the television people to transmit them on at least one channel.
• The NASA Director: when he said “this could be the worst disaster NASA’s ever faced.” I think he was preventing team work by saying this who which Gene spoke up and said: “with all due respect, sir, I believe this is gonna be our finest hour.” Gene is building team work here, he wants all of his team to think positive and hope for the best for they had work very hard to bring the astronauts

Brown has designed Thula to represent the working class of America, and the self-doubt that once haunted Joe so heavily. Her appearance is tired, sickly to represent how many Americans were feeling at the time, and to show that many still did not have hope for the future. Brown describes her in a manner as well that makes the reader feel resentment towards her even more, and makes her an easier target for the reader to direct their animosity at her for all the pain she has put Joe through. One of the themes shown through this description of Thula appears to be that of despair and gloom that does not seem to want to lift from the country. Just as the economy had begun to rise, the country faced the dust bowls, which threatened to destroy the lives of million.…
