Apollo 11 JFK said to the crowed in the 1960’s “We will land on the moon in the next decade!”. On the Date of July 16 1969 The apollo 11 astronauts boarded the saturn V rocket. The mission crew sets up and get’s ready for launch in one hour. Thirty minutes later the astronauts: Akerman Armstrong and Buzz Lightyear step onboard of the rocket.
“Alright let's keep this mission on track, start launch!” said Camron of the mission crew. Launching in 5 the rocket started. 4 flames shot out of the rocket. 3 the rocket rumbles. 2 the rocket shakes and flame spue out. 1 the mission crew yells “Blast off!” The Saturn V lifted off into the sky. The rocket fly’s in the sky. The launch was being televised on live TV all over the USA.
The rocket entered space just 1 hour after launch. The 2 pod´s detached from the main vessel. Apollo 11 was off to the moon. Michael Mclovin was also a big part of the mission. The descent engine gave them thrust for about 102 hours and 45 minutes. The parachute deployment occurred around 195 hours and 14 minutes, and after 5 minutes they landed in the sea. When they got back it was a miracle the flight to the moon caused and stopped a lot of things, they were greeted by the president Nixon on the Great Hornet. They were quarantined for three weeks because the scientists wanted to see if they carried any diseases and if they did the scientists did not want them to spread around the diseases. They also ended the space race against Russia, the space race is when Russia and America were racing to see who could get to the moon first.
