The crew of Apollo 8 was Frank Borman, William A. Anders, and James A. Lovell. They had 4 months to change the objective of the mission, which isn’t a lot of time for a celestial flight. The Saturn 5 went into elliptical orbit and circled around the moon. One of the crew members, Frank Borman appeared to be sick in space.

One of the objectives of this mission was to demonstrate how the crew works together.

The mission was an “A” type mission and launched despite engine failures. Another name for this mission is AS-502. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed on the same day as launch.
