What causes anemia is your body can not make enough blood cells. Your body also destroys the red blood cells making it hard for blood to clot and cuts to heal. Red blood cells carry oxygen through out the body to different organs. There are five different common types of anemia. iron deficiency where your body doesn't have enough iron. this can be caused by menstrual cycles and blood loss. Aplastic anemia is where your body doesn't have enough bone marrow and red blood cells. vitamin deficiency this is where your body is lacking the vitamin b-12 along with iron but some people can't process b-12. Sickle cell anemia is when your blood is shaped like a sickle. The blood that is shaped like sickle will die premature. Hemolytic anemia is another anemia that involves bone marrow.
