The importance of learning and utilizing APA format is very simple, it is the universities’ standard. APA format is also great for keeping your paper in order, while providing original writers their proper credit. Providing proper in-text citations keeps me for accidentally plagiarizing another’s work. This also provides uniformity to all scholarly writers, which helps both student and professor. If these guidelines were not in place, nobody would have true ownership of their work. This format may also be difficult for others to learn and become accustom too, I certainly struggled at first. Bethel does offer many great resources on how to use this format, plus repetition will create success.
