Ap Program Reflection

Decent Essays
I, Hannah Adebayo feel like I’d fit into Senator O’Connor’s AP program. I am an active participant. Also, I always have something to say in class. My teachers have commented about how they value my views in class. I’m always thinking outside of the box and while answering questions, my thoughts are expressed. Being clear with my answer is vital because I need to learn and explore the topic. So, I feel that I’ll be confident in this program. Sometimes in class, I don’t say what I feel because I don’t want to get judged. I believe in the AP program at OCS, I’ll be with like-minded people and I won’t be shy to share my thoughts because I know I’m not the only one who has a different way of thinking, plus I’ll be stronger in the real world/future.

Chapter Reflection Questions How did patterns of family life and attitudes toward women differ in the northern and southern colonies? In the Chesapeake colonies of the South, women primarily served the purpose of bearing children. An unbalanced ratio between men and women meant that few women remained unwed for long, and women gave birth on average every two years and had an average of eight children each if they lived long enough. These women were rarely able to raise their children by themselves, as childbirth was one of the most common causes of death for women.…

Over the course of Dramatic Literature, we read and explored many important issues through literature. A moment that I found particularly powerful is when we read The Laramie Project and created interviews on the truth in drama through the production of our own documentary theater. My group conducted an interview on the question: is it okay for guys to sleep around, but not girls? In conducting the interview, the responses we got were overall the same. Many of the people we interviewed responded that it’s not okay for guys to sleep around, but not girls.…

Title Enrolling the EOF program has lighten up a path in life that would have gone completely undiscovered had I walked alone. Along the path was my introduction to college writing, a class that has improved my writing skills profoundly. At first the tasks given to us on the syllabus seemed daunting, almost insurmountable within the five-week period of the program; it seemed even more inconceivable with the class being only twice a week. However, with the guidance and instruction given to me by the professor and peers I was able to strengthen my work as a student.…

For this reason, this college English class is a requirement for all those seeking a degree.
