Aomine hasn't seen his husband for about five years now. Being so caught up in the battle field that he rarely had time to video chat the redhead at all. It hurt him, a lot, to know that Kagami was by himself. Sure he had Kuroko and Momoi with him. Kagami had explained to Aomine a hundred times that they were there and it didn't make him feel so alone. Aomine knew it was all a lie though. He could tell even through the glitchey video chat. The poem “One Perfect Rose,” written by the author Dorothy Parker, represents an example of a well-developed creative narrative that reflects how rhetorical elements such as repetition complemented with tone shifts can highlight and present the theme more vividly. This poem represents a contrast from the majority of poems about love because it is not the typical portrayal of a non-practical, idealistic feeling.
