I favor this one because of the technique’s adaptability to every individual. Those who have been practicing breathing techniques for years may be able to inhale longer than someone who is just beginning. We don’t want to put excessive stress on the body. For the 1:2 method, we will start by either sitting in a meditation position (Indian style, half-lotus or full) or in a chair. After finding your sitting position, straighten your back and rest your hands on the thighs in a comfortable posture. The goal for the 1:2 is to exhale twice as long as you inhale. It is important to pause between breaths to create the transitional breath. For example: if you inhale for six seconds, you will want to exhale for twelve with a four second pause.
