Since Epilepsy is know for seizures, it's main symptom is a seizure itself, and possibly fainting. The effects of this disorder all depends on the person, and how their body reacts to the issue. People may face, depression, no control of the movement in your own body, and being lost/clueless within yourself. If you are diagnosed with Epilepsy, medication is needed for this disorder in order to stay somewhat controlled and maintain the regulations of your body. If you don't treat yourself correctly, worst but possible outcome someone may come to is death. The average and common outcomes if not treated is just having seizures, which may lead to being paralyzed due to the nonstop uncontrollable movements that your body and not you controls. …show more content…
Some effects that are known are aura, clueless/confused, depression, and uncontrollable movements. Seizures cause the uncontrollable movements, which are jerks and having no control of the movement of your muscles. Clueless, confused, and having a aura is also due to seizures. An aura is a sensation perceived by the patient that precedes a conditioning affecting the brain.Clueless and confused are effects due to being unconscious after a seizure and being unaware of what's going on during and after the seizure. Death could be a possible outcome due to not having any control of the body or brain when having a seizure, and without medication, there is nothing to calm and control anything. You may also gain more problems, if you don’t treat one disorder correctly, it could be worse by just increasing illnesses. Another main outcome of not having medication for epilepsy is prolonged seizures, which lead to brain damage. There is no clear cure for epilepsy, but treatment can control epileptic seizures, and possibly preventing them from ever occurring again, each individual’s body responds differently to the
