The use of surveillance technology by government is an unacceptable intrusion and a violation of privacy. To what extent do you agree and disagree?
Introduction: (Background) Prism event has aroused wide concern, a large number of citizens think he is a hero, but some people point that he is a traitor to a country. Protecting the public is a duty of government. According to the Surveillance Studies Network, during the 1990s approximately 78 per cent of the Home Office crime prevention budget was spent on installing CCTV, It is difficult to determine exactly how many CCTV cameras there are in the UK, but recent estimates have put the figure at over 4 million. Most experts appear to agree that the UK leads the world in its use of CCTV.

CCTV camera system helps to identify such instances and act immediately. It is also helpful to keep a tab on the activities of the employees.

(Disadvantage) Invasion of privacy is the major issue when it comes to any security system device like the CCTV camera system. The intrusion into the personal life of another, without just cause, it lowers the employee morale and hampers productivity at times. Constant monitoring of every activity might put the workers ill at ease.
The initial costs incurred per camera are high. The installation may also increase the initial expenditure. It depends upon the complexity of the CCTV camera system as well. Conclusion: CCTV, which are invasion of privacy because people can see the area where you live and how to get into your house or impartment, but, this equipment just protect citizen.
