What is Etsy?

If you make and sell you own handmade goods, Etsy offers you access to new markets. This handmade haven encourages independent artisans to sell their wares, make connections and showcase their goods to the world. Read on to learn what is Etsy, and what it can do for you.

What is Etsy?

You can think of Etsy as the eBay for handmade goods.

Sellers' have their own Esty micro-sites, which allow them to showcase their goods, describe their store and introduce themselves to consumers. Opening your Esty shop is free, but sellers are charged $0.20 per listing (expires after 4 months) and 3.5% of the amount paid by the buyer (including shipping fees).
