Antonio Villaraigosa was born in Los Angeles on January 23, 1953. His father was Mexican immigrant father and a his mother was a Californian-born mother with a Mexican descent. Before he changed his name to Antonio Villaraigosa his name was Antonio Villar. At the age of 5, his dad left his mother and Antonio's brothers and they had to be raised by his mom. At the age of 15 he dropped out of High School and went to night school which was called Roosevelt High School.
