Antisocial Personality Disorder is a serious concern not only on the level of one 's individual mental health but as well as a concern for the wellness and protection of society.This paper will investigate the biopsychosocial perspectives in the connection and prevalence of those who are diagnosed with Conduct Disorder (CD) who later go on to be diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). The objective of this meta-analysis was to assess and summarize the evidence related to the association of antisocial personality disorder in adulthood with conduct disorder in childhood and adolescence from prior epidemiological studies. It will also identify whether a diagnosis of childhood conduct disorder should be a requirement criterion for an antisocial personality disorder in adulthood as stipulated in the DSM-5. Identifying and understanding the connection between the two disorders will also allow for advocation of early childhood behavioral interventions in treating those with antisocial traits early on in hopes of preventing the development of antisocial personality disorder in adulthood.
