Antisemitism is the discrimination of Jewish people. The earliest recorded act of antisemitism dates back to the 3rd century B.C.E. when the Greco-Egyptian historian Manetho said that Jews were expelled from Egypt. Throughout the years, Jews have been driven out of more than 80 countries including Arabia, France, Spain, Sicily, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Bavaria, Naples, Vienna, Poland, Germany, and Russia. The most prominent act of antisemitism most people know of today is the Holocaust that started from 1933 and ended 12 years later. However, anti-Semitic attacks haven’t stopped and are continuing to increase throughout the world. From as early as the 3rd century B.C.E., Jewish people have been constant targets of countless hate crimes and victims of violence and aggression.
