Eragon is about a dragon rider named Eragon and his dragon Saphira. Before Eragon’s time there where dragon riders who protect all of Alagaesla, but a series of wars lead to the end of the dragon riders. All that survived where one dragon, a few riders, and three eggs. When the war was over an evil man came to power called Galbatorix. Eragon stories begin when a stolen egg was being transported to the city of Vadar (The rebel city). The elves transporting the egg between cities, were ambushed by Urgals (A large beast about seven feet, with horns) and a Shade (A spirit possessed human). All of the elves were killed and as the last one is cornered, she transported the egg to the spine (west side of Alagaesla). Eragon is hunting in the woods
