Creon the king of Thebes, is a disciplined ruler who believes his laws are supreme laws, and has strict ways of enforcing his laws. King Creon Said “whoever is chosen to govern should be obeyed—must be obeyed, in all things, great and small, just and unjust. King creon was betrayed by Polynices because he attacked the people of Thebes. Although not burying the dead is against the laws of the gods, King Creon forbids anyone from burying the body of Polynices. The elders of Thebes agreed with King Creon and said "You, being sovereign, make what laws you will ;Both for the dead and those of us who live”, They also advised him not to punish Antigone because she is doing the will of the gods. …show more content…
In the play, Creon said “Polyneices, who broke his exile to come back with fire and sword against his native city and the shrines of his father’s gods ,is to have no burial”. He made the law unbreakable and
