Antifone To Me Analysis

Comparing Antifone to Me ¨I was born to join in love, not hate - that is my nature.¨ Sophocles. When you get the chance to help someone do not take a second to think, just immediately do it. When and if you think for a second you will think how others may judge you for doing this. You may be shunned at first, but soon they will clearly see what you did and understand that it was more important than following everyone else. Many people may never fully understand why you did the thing you did, but it should not matter to you. They may seem like they are too cool for everyone, but in the long run they will need someone to get them through the very hard times. She doesn't hide anything and she is not ever afraid to be herself. We are very much the same in this way because I do not care what anyone thinks of me. I like to be myself and that is what I am best at. Once she is set on something, she will do it no matter what she has to go through. ¨But I will bury him and if I must die, I say that this crime is holy: I shall lie down with him in death, and I shall be as dear to him as he to me¨ (Antigone 55) She was willing to die to do what she knew was right. People might think you are crazy, but doing what is right no matter what you have to go through is worth it. Antigone confessed to something that she did, even when she would get in trouble. (Antigone 350) If you have the chance to lie and not get in trouble or tell the truth and get in trouble, what would you do? I would tell what happened even if I got in big trouble. Just like Antigone told Creon she did it, when my cousin was younger she broke her mom's favorite lamp, she wanted to just blame it on someone else. She decided to tell her mom even though she would probably get in trouble. In the end she didn't get in much trouble as she would if she would have lied. Antigone is also very headstrong, single-minded and stubborn. (Antigone 375) ¨Like father, like daughter: both headstrong, deaf to reason!¨ She never went for anything less than what she wanted. I also never stop till I get what I want, even if I have to go through lots of obstacles. When I was younger I wanted to get a toy down from the top shelf, but I just couldn't reach it. I tried and tried and still could not reach it. Instead of giving up I went and got a chair, but I was still to short to reach it. Since all my siblings were busy they couldn't help me. I grabbed a big box and put it on top of the chair and slowly climbed to get onto the box. I was finally standing on top of the box I could see it in my view, even closer than before. I still
