What is a Drug?
This is a chemical substance or medicine that has a physiological effect when ingested or introduced into the body.

Types of Drugs:

Anti-depressants:
Antidepressants are drugs used for the treatment of major depressive disorder and other conditions. Antidepressants work by increasing levels of a group of chemicals in the brain called neurotransmitters. Certain neurotransmitters, can improve mood and emotion. Some anti-depressants drugs include Noradrenalin.

Anti-Convulsants:
Anticonvulsants work by calming hyperactivity in the brain in various ways. For this reason, some of these drugs are used to treat epilepsy, prevent migraines, and treat other brain disorders. Some Anti-Convulsants drugs include Lamictal (lamotrigine) and Tegretol (carbamazepine).
Barbiturates:
Barbiturates are synthetic drugs used in medicine to depress the central nervous system. The effects range from mild sedation to coma and they may be used a sedatives, hypnotics or as part of anaesthesia. Some barbiturates are used to relieve tension or anxiety prior to surgery.
Anti-Inflammatory:
Anti-Inflammatory drugs are used to reduce inflammation and irritation. For example: Ibuprofen
