Introduction :
Epilepsy is a disorder of the brain characterized by an enduring predisposition to generate epileptic seizures, and by the neurobiological, cognitive, psychological, and social consequences of this condition.
Aim/Objective:
The aim of the present study is to evaluate the drug utilization pattern of Anti-Epileptic Drugs in hospitals of Hyderabad, India.
Methodology/Experiments:
The present study was a Prospective observational study. The study was conducted over a period of seven months. During the study period of seven months (February- August 2014) in a Super specialty Hospital, total 3000 patients were reviewed prospectively. Among them 173 patients prescribed with AEDs in various disease conditions were enrolled in the study.
