In this section of my assignment, I am going to assess the influence of a recent national policy initiative in relation to the promotion of anti-discriminatory practice. However, the national policy initiative I will be assessing is the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to nursing care home as a code of practice.

Basically, in care settings when promoting anti-discriminatory practice there are certain influences such as advantages and disadvantages that can come alongside it. However, staff and care providers need to be aware of these things in order to accomplish their aim or goals for the service user. Basically, in health and social care settings, fair and lawful process of clients information implies that any individual information gathered by the care setting or any association must be furnished with the assent of the person.
