What matters to me the most is freedom and equality to any gender or race. Today’s millennials often do not realize that freedom and equality was and still is a huge impact to our lives. From reading Anthem,Emancipation Proclamation,Prometheus, and The Critical Thinking Video I surely notice that equality,independence, and freedom have a big impact to all of these stories .
Anthem has a unique way of showing the need of equality throughout the story. The main character’s name of Anthem is “Equality 7-2521”, It makes you have an idea of how to change and lead you through the right path of freedom and responsibility . If it weren’t for him we would still to this day have slaves or be slaves. It’s a very challenging story for all of us because most of our ancestors were slaves . A quote from the Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipations is "That on the first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, all persons held as slaves within any State or designated part of a State, the people whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States, shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free; and the Executive Government of the United States, including the military and naval authority thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of such persons, and will do no act or acts to repress such persons, or any of them, in any efforts they may make for their actual freedom.” Our generation often realizes that we has humans need freedom and equality, Without anyone judging one another or discriminating one another. One of the skills that Leo has showed me and the viewers is that everyone has their own opportunity to have a voice . A quote he said that caught my eye was “ If Instead of taken facts and information from the books and social media, and accepting what you see and hear, start analyzing it and thinking it “. As our days,months, and even years pass . We as student don't realize that coping and pasting has damage our way of being a free thinker . Many people do it for one reason, and that reason is to have there work done fast. An example from my life was when I would always copy other people's work . Me,myself didn't realize that i wasn’t thinking for myself . I was thinking what other people were thinking because I was copping there work with their answers. As I always say I have the privilege of being able to talk and have freedom of what i think and say because many people didn’t have that equal opportunity that have right now
