Antecedents of MO in NPO
Antecedent factors refer to all the background forces that influence the MO decision making in NPO. A large number of such factors were proposed to have an influential role on MO in NPO. Kowalik (2011) identifies three variables that influence MO: (1) organizational factors, (2) high-level management, and (3) economic factors. They consist of learning orientation, professional commitment, professional education, self-efficacy, professional ethics, managerial attitude, personal, leadership. Soon. All of each variable involve with an internal factor that occurs inside personal and effect to decision making and performance.
Group / departmental factors
A group factor refers to a study that focuses on a group of people in NPO decision making (Hashim & Bakar, 2011). The group factors include the employees in the organization, departmentalization, and inter-department factor. According to Macedo & Pinto (2006), group factors include the donors and users that related to MO in NPO strategy mainly include fundraising of funding, resource allocation, resource attraction, and financial performance. Fundraising is often used as a basis for NPO performance because it is a crucial tool that leads NPO to survival and operates in long term.

A large number of mediator factors were proposed to have an influence in NPO performance. Wood, Bhuian & Kiecker (2000) identifies three variables in MO effect to NOP performance consist of (1) market intelligence generation, (2) market intelligence dissemination, and (3) market intelligence responsiveness. These factors were the main of studies in MO but the other scholar tried to find out new factors in MO to measure the NPO performance by Voss & Voss (2000) classified MO factors into three dimensions consist of (1) customer orientation, (2) competitor orientation, and (3) product / technology orientation.
