A young lady sat in the lobby of Anson County Child Support visibly upset, with quiet tears running down her face, and ringing her hands as if rubbing lotion on them. I ask her could I help her and she said I don’t know but I hope so. I took her back to my office and ask her how I could help her. With tears in her eyes she explained to me that the father of her 1 year old had been killed in a car wreck over the weekend and she had never taken child support out on him as he was a good dad and had always helped her take care of the child. He was not listed on the child’s birth certificate as he was at work the day the child was born and not there to sign an affidavit of paternity. Once gathering her information I seen we already had a case
